50th Anniversary coming in two Months!
Greetings Fellow Toastmasters!
****Speech Contest time is just weeks away and I need YOU!!****
Please mark your calendar; cancel your golf or fishing trip, shopping, spa appointment or whatever you usually do on Saturday mornings and help me AND our club have another successful contest. Bring the family -- the more audience and support the better. Theres plenty of roles for everyone (see below) and every member is eligible to participate as a contestant in either contest. Of course, I will need helpers (all hands are welcomed), but without contestants we won't have a contest. This is a great opportunity to grow and glow! Winners will receive a gift AND move on to compete in the Area, Division, District, and International Speech contests.
WHEN: Saturday, September 13, 2008 - 9:00 - 12:00.
WHERE: Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1129 Pat Booker Road, Universal City, Texas.

WILL TOASTMASTERS WORK FOR ME?
Yes! Heres why:
Public speaking is one of the most common fears among adults and yet it is one of the most important skills for people wishing to succeed socially and in business.
At some point, everyone in the program stood where you stand today. We know what you are going through. We are here to help. As Toastmasters helps you, you will learn to help others.
It doesnt matter how shy you are, or how well spoken. The Toastmasters program begins with basic public speaking skills, learned in a highly supportive environment. As you progress through the program, assignments become more challenging. You advance at your own pace.
Each speech is evaluated in a positive manner. You learn what your strong points are and where you need to improve.
In Toastmasters, there are no grades and no exams. You move at your own pace. You progress as you feel ready.
